🟢 Romain Esse (FWD) - [Crystal Palace - Coventry City] - Loan
In Coventry’s last game, a 3–2 defeat against Birmingham City, Frank Lampard made just two substitutions, with Haji Wright and Kai Andrews coming on. That perhaps reflected the lack of natural wide options available, with only Tatsuhiro Sakamoto and Ephron Mason-Clark fitting that profile in the squad.
Since then, Coventry have moved to address the issue. Yesterday they signed Yang Min-hyeok on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, who spent the first half of the season at Portsmouth, adding much-needed depth on the right. Today they strengthened those options again. Welcome back to the EFL, Romain Esse, who joins on loan from Crystal Palace, where a combination of Palace’s relative success and Oliver Glasner’s style of play meant the 20-year-old found opportunities limited.
