The only xG form guides covering all three EFL leagues, our tables show how teams are performing beneath the surface, based on the quality of chances they create and concede. Every Tuesday, we update the data and add some colour and context in a weekly email.
How to read:
⚽ xG (Expected Goals) — The total quality of chances a team creates, based on the likelihood each shot becomes a goal.
🥅 xGA (Expected Goals Against) — The total quality of chances a team concedes to opponents.
⚖️ xGD (Expected Goal Difference) — The difference between xG for and against [xG-xGA].
🧮 xG Total — The total xG in a team’s matches: xG + xGA.
🍰 xG Ratio — A team’s slice of the xG cake. It shows how big a share of the total xG in a team’s matches they’re creating for themselves: xG ÷ (xG + xGA).
🚨 As important as the data — All of the metrics are expressed as a per-90 figure.
