Silky. That’s the word that springs to mind with Paris Maghoma.
When we last saw him in the EFL, he was hobbling off the Wembley turf in the 2024 League One play-off final, having been clattered early doors. It was a cruel end to a superb loan spell at Bolton Wanderers: eight league goals in 40 appearances, but more importantly a constant supply of ball progression, security in tight areas and central-zone dribbling that wins fouls, unsettles defensive blocks and creates space for others. He’s one of those players who could nutmeg a mermaid in a telephone box.
