I think the random Mendy transfer at Posh was linked to O’Connor’s loan ending early (due to injury). We didn’t want to break two loan deals so this was a financial middle ground. Also Posh not wanting to ruin a potentially decent relationship with Wrexham (Darragh spoke highly of how easy they were to deal with etc…).
No probably not, but he's not thinking with his football brain, he's thinking financially and I can't blame him. He deserves it, this was the last chance he was gonna have for a big pay day at 28. Not sure it makes a huge amount of sense for Wrexham but money is of no object to them.
Getting Bradshaw back 10 years after we first signed him to play up front with Didzy is hilarious it's like someone at the club thinks it's still 2016. Interestingly enough he scored in Hourihane's final game against Leeds in Jan 2017. In a memorable win. So nice to see them back together lol.
Think we have some of the worst owners in the EFL, possibly bottom 5 and it kind of goes under the radar. For every DKD or Clearly there are at least 5 ones who should be working at Evri.
I personally like Brewster / Clark / Agyemang in an "off the 9" role. Eames also looked great here in his short cameos. Clark not our player though so I understand it.
After recent struggles with more exotic recruitment, Luton are going back to a plan that was tried and tested on our climb up the leagues - which is basically to sign anyone that plays or has played for Barnsley. Devante Cole is already a hatter and now we’re being linked with Luca Connell, presumably would be a fairly big fee for Barnsley’s captain.
Wigan being linked with wingers when Lowe has been playing 3 at the back with wingbacks for the majority of the season sort of sums it up. Would have said priority needs to be a CB today after some of the recent performances
Yeah listened to that on the pod and was in agreement. Doesn’t help when Kerr injured himself chasing his child around a park. A lad from Brighton by the name of Caylan Vickers, can’t say I’m all too familiar. Seems to be a perm rather than a loan.
Yup, CB was our shout in Ali's transfer pod on Saturday morning. No room to change anything with basically no alternatives there. Any interesting names being linked among those wingers?
The Norwich hoping to get a "6" done today - and maybe a right winger. Liam Gibbs to go out on loan if the midfielder does get sorted, likely to Scotland
Sam Field on loan from QPR to Norwich looking very likely. Not very exciting but a sensible one I guess. Covers left back too where Norwich currently have injury problems.
Somewhat surprised there aren't stronger links from other Champ clubs, especially given that Ipswich/Boro etc. are all linked with late move for strikers.
He's just had his third kid and wants to move to the MLS for family reasons so I doubt he'd even entertain other Championship clubs. He also rejected the Bundesliga in a £20 million + deal in the summer, he doesn't seem to want to play at a higher level.
Hoping for a quiet day as a Notts fan, can never rule out a late bid for a striker but Paterson has been pretty clear that the later it gets in the window, the better an offer would have to be.
Seems like Langstaff won't be on the move with him playing a lot for Millwall. I'd be gutted if he ended up back in L2 at another club, eg at Salford as rumoured
Honestly sounds like him summed up at Millwall, I haven't watched him lots but I'd have thought it would have been the part that translated. No idea how accurate it is but FotMob has him playing more as a 10 than a striker, not sure that's the position to get the best out him.
I've heard nothing about inbounds, but I don't think there are many major needs. That depends on the extent of Palmer's injury, as Ali said on the Saturday pod

DKD, goodbye sweet prince 🥲. On Didzy and Bradders to keep us up now. Strike forcing gonna stink of Murray mints and tiger balm for the run in.
Also, lol at Murray Mints and Tiger Balm
If/as/when it happens, I'm not sure I like the move for the player. Deserves a shot at the Champ. But will he get those mins at Wrexham?
(Sam)

DCFC forum reckons Smodzics and potentially Utrecht LB Murkin done / close. John Eustace sneaking up on the league.
Szmods and Eustace. Would he get straight in the XI?

Interesting. Gab wasn't so hot on Cole in his assessment. And not sure what I (Sam) think.
However, Luca Connell has been a strong performer for a good while. Couldn't believe it when I just saw he was 24! Good age.
Rumours that Jacob Brown (another of our ex Barnsley players) could be part of the deal

That is a fantastic way to get injured, in his defence.

Sargent on the way out?
At some point, but the MLS window doesn’t shut till mid March!

Ofc.

If Knapper sold another player to Ipswich he might get lynched

I watched Langstaff at the Den on Saturday, so can't imagine he's on the cards for a League Two side. That said, he missed an absolute sitter.
Any inbound rumours?
