Weekend Notes: Leeds go top, Coventry book Wembley spot & Skubala's Lincoln are imperious

After all due limelight-hogging, it was decent of the crowded Championship relegation party to place the burden of narrative tension on some new EFL shoulders. The dance of the drop has taken place on the head of a pin, and the clubs jockeying for position will see no great adjustment if, like this weekend, the bottom 8 fail to score a single goal between them.
No matter. League One picked up the drama at this most pivotal flash point. It was 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd, with the best of the rest looking to capitalise on guaranteed points dropped for somebody.
And then, in League Two, the ever-tightening automatic and play-off places tightened once again. The turning of the screw left a 6-point gap between 2nd and 6th, and a 3-point gap between 7th and 12th.
