I wrote about Hull in some depth this week. The Championship’s big data outliers have relied a hell of a lot on the superlative attacking form of Oli McBurnie, Joe Gelhardt and – to a less superlative but still very good extent – Kyle Joseph.

It’s reliance rather than over-reliance. Both McBurnie and Gelhardt have had spells out of the side and, while Hull have competed well in those games, the likes of the outgoing Enis Destan aren’t at the same level. Ahead of the run-in, it was crucial they added another body to the forward line.
