Hello, good morning and welcome to the first-ever episode of Dear Ali & George… the EFL podcast where YOU set the agenda.
What exactly is DA&G? We combine the open-minded spirit of a mailbag with the worthy disposition of a classic Agony Aunt. Chuck in a penchant for food-related queries, an eye for data and an obsession with the more trivial pursuits of EFL fandom, and you’re starting to get the gist. TL;DR — ask and you shall receive.
Our suggestion? …Hit play!
Most importantly, this a podcast where you — our listeners — set the agenda, the tempo, the tone. We’ll call on you to send in your questions through the chat function each week. And very soon we’ll also be providing an option for you to record and share a voice note — watch this space.
There are no set parameters, no question too trifling, no angle too bizarre, no query too specific, and no barriers erected to keep out the weird and wonderful inquisitiveness of anyone who wants to get involved.
Thanks to everyone who shared a question this time around. THERE ARE SOME ABSOLUTE BELTERS.
This is almost, but not quite, our final outing on NTT20.COM for the year. Look out for another Huw Davies special on Boxing Day — it’s going be a cracker — and then that’s us done for 2023.
Enjoy the holidays, enjoy the packed EFL schedule, and no matter the protein heading-up your Christmas Dinner… go well!
Ali & George
Elsewhere on NTT20.COM…
In January, NTT20.COM will lean into the January Transfer Window with the same appetite as a football club landing on a cut-price deal for a proven goal-scorer. We believe JTW signings can transform a team’s season — in fact, Huw Davies wrote about exactly that earlier this month.
And we’ve also just rounded off our three-part series: Targets. In each article, we highlight the most promising prospects available to EFL clubs before the window “slams” open — can a window slam open? Probably not…
On Monday we published the final Weekend Notes of 2023, charting the wholly unfestive attitude of some members of the 72 — thrashings abounded over a weekend of goals.
